It's been a great year for the family on our little 19 acres of timber. My oldest son and I have put a lot of work into creating two kill plots and doing a lot of hinge cutting on our land and it's paid off. On November 8th I shot my buck at 15 yards walking through the biggest of the two plots. The following morning my wife shot her first deer ever. She shot her buck at 20 yards in the small kill plot. Then yesterday morning my son shot his biggest buck out of a stand between the two plots at 20 yards also. It's been a very busy couple of weeks with all of the deer processing but it's been so worth it and we have all our freezer space full to the hilt. For those that think they need a big chunk of land to hunt, we are proof that you don't. My Buck My Wife's Buck (first deer ever) My Son's buck
Awesome!! Good to see the hard work pay off!! I'm doing a similar setup on my 40 acres in RI!! that's some good motivation
LOL, kinda odd huh? It's actually in my front yard. Our timber is a little over an hour away and the morning he got his deer I wasn't with him, I was at my youngest sons basketball tournament. So he field dressed it and brought it to my garage for processing. It was the first chance to get a photo.
