Any ideas on how to spook deer away from your stand after legal shooting light. Having someone drive up is not an option. Thanks.

I've heard people suggest using a Coyote call, but I tried making my own coyote noise, and failed completely. which in turn left me looking like an *** in the tree. Meanwhile the deer just stared me down, at which I just gave up and climbed down.

I did it just last night, I was freezing and it was pretty dark so I simply started talking to myself, quietly at first and then louder. The deer didn't spook, they just walked off.

You can try blowing like a deer. That's my plan for does or bucks if I were in the position.

I had a BB under me two nights ago. I was going to blow at him but as it got dark I decided just to sneak out. He never got out of his bed at 35 yards.

Agreed. Many times I've been stuck up in my stand waiting for deer to clear out. I try to let them leave on their own rather than scaring them. Blowing at them would be my last resort. Sometimes you learn some interesting things by watching their behavior after hours...

If I am fairly close to my house or where dogs are known to go, I will start to bark. Usually I just have someone come pick me up or do drive by on four wheeler.
