Right now i have a Bowtech Assassin and I am looking at a Matthews Creed xs. What is Y'all's take? Keep the Bowtech or go to the Matthews? Thanks.

I would keep the bowtech, then again I am biased the owner of the local bowshop shoots the same bow I do and he can tune my bow as good as it gets

Nothing wrong with bowtech.....especially if you like limbs delaminating and cracking :nana:

Honestly it is all a matter of preference. I personally don't stick to the same brand of bow, I shoot whatever bow is more comfortable to me before I buy it

Try the Matthews and see if you like it better than the Assassin. I've never shot the Creed, but I do love my Assassin.

I am currently on my 7th Bowtech and yet have had one do this.
With that being said shoot them both and pick which one feels best to you. I'll be in market for new one come spring time and plan on shooting a wide variety.

My next bow most definitely will not be a bowtech. I'm on the third set of limbs for my bowtech captain with no dry fires or any type of misuse. That's my experience with bowtech. While most people have had good luck with the bowtechs they own, I have not. Bowtech seems to be the company with most issues from what I've seen on various forums. If, you haven't had any problems with your assassin then it might be hard to part with it. I can't speak for the creed or creed xs, but there doesn't seem to many posts about Mathews bows having issues like limbs cracking, delaminating, etc.

I think you have to stay with Bowtech considering your user name...we cant allow someone named bowtech to shoot a Mathews. Think there are laws against such things.

I have the bowtech insanity and it's my 3rd bowtech. It's a sweet how and I'll probably be getting the new bowtech next year. That being said, I shot the creed xs a few weeks ago and it was a super smooth bow. It's not quite as fast but it's all preference. I don't think you can really go wrong either way.

It depends. I had a Mathews(dropped it out of a stand) and a Bowtech(my current bow). I like the Bowtech personally. I will be buying a new Mathews soon so I can have a better draw weight. My Bowtech was sooo much simpler when I first started out, so if you want something simple buy the Bowtech.

Shoot the Mathews. If you like it better, get it. Why do people ask others opinions like this? Just shoot the stinking bow YOU like and be done with it already.

Between those two choices...Mathews. I owned one Bowtech and that was enough for me. It shot good, just the limbs were horrible.

If it shoots good for you then keep it man. I've had many bows, I don't worry about brands anymore, it's all about what i'm most comfortable with. I've owned a few bows that i bought because other people swore by them but they just didn't work well for me. If you find that bow that works for you then why change it? I currently shoot a Mathews but not because of the brand, they're just another bow company.

Just wanted to hear pros and cons....not trying to let y'all make decision. Just wanted to hear what y'all liked about either one.
