Yes i know that it sucks. I don't like using it but I had to this past weekend.
Has anyone had a problem with the stand scratching and cracking the part of your limbs that rest on the metal part of the stand?

I've always wondered about that, I thought it would, I don't have a LW though.

Of course it's going to scratch - it's metal. Most guys who use it frequently put some tape or mole skin on their stand to stop that.

I rarely, if ever, use mine. I prefer a bow holder in the tree or simply holding my bow.

I use mine every time I'm in the tree. I personally love having my bow standing in front of me. I wrapped the metal with mole skin and have not had any issues with scratching limbs.

I use mine every hunt as well, with the help of "Wolf Jaws" for my split limb bow. Love having my bow in that position. I took the time (lots) to wrap my entire platform with friction tape. I put that ,,,, on everything. lol Takes care of the problem that you mention, keeps it quiet, and gives you much better traction. God bless Lone Wolf.

Cheap bow holder from Wal-Mart works great.

I have mine all taped up as well and I also like having the bow in front of me but it really moves to much attached to the platform. I usually screw a bow holder into the tree.

Tape fixes the problem. Cuts down on noise as well.

I don't even have to move, just shift my weight in my feet and it goes crazy.

For the record, LW has an optional rubber grommet for the bow holder.
