So I'm looking into buying a mathews Z7 for my father-in-law. Its a 2011 model and I'm just wondering if you can change the DL on those bows or if you need different cams for each DL. Thanks for the help!

They are cam specific so you would need to purchase another cam

Thought they were modules and only needed the mods changed? That's how my MR7 was and my helim.

You will need to buy another cam but Z7s are very popular and you should not have a hard time finding one

Yup, you'll need a DL specific cam. New they are around $50. Should still be able to get them from a dealer. I know the guy that bought my Drenalin almost two years ago was able to get a new cam for it.

That's the nice thing about Mathews. They carry parts for every bow they have ever made.
