So I've been filming my hunts for the last six or so yrs with different handycams and a gopro for pov. As far as the camcorder I think it's time for an upgrade. Currently using a sony HDR-cx150, it lacks in a few areas. No external mic,
Low light is horrible, no remote zoom control option.... And so on.
I'm trying to keep cost under a thousand .
The canon vixia hf g20 has my interest at the moment. What are your thoughts, and or personal experiences with this camera?

I own a hfg20 its awesome and the price is down 500 from what i pd. 1500 around 999. now The only neg thing i can say about it is the optical zoom is only 10x Given the choice i would get the hfg30 now but it wasn't invented when i bought the hfg20 still the user controls are unlimited on either cam.

I bought the hf g30 off Canon's refurbished site for $831. Can't go wrong with that camera!

I really, really enjoy my g20, but after using my buddies g30 I really wish I would of just spent the extra little money right away. There are several extra features that I like a lot better about that camera. But you cant go wrong with the g20.
