Anyone from Louisiana having any luck killing so far? I been working so much i have not had the chance to get back in the woods. I was lucky enough to get a lil 6 point earlier this year...

I haven't killed anything yet. I've seen a few from the stand, just haven't had a good shot opportunity yet, hopefully that changes real soon.

I have killed 2 does, but both were in MS. Haven't even hunted our LA property yet

Any luck lately? I've been seeing lots of deer, including a couple decent 8 points, just none in bow range. I'm a little worried about ending my season with an empty freezer if my luck continues so I'm starting to use a rifle this week. I feel like a sellout but I have to put some venison in the freezer. I have a couple stands with short enough shooting lanes that I will still do some of my hunting with a bow.

Still haven't had much time to get out but our season is still just getting going. Have several trail cam pics of some good bucks. Just gotta find the time to get out there!

Not a bow kill but got my first pig this weekend on our lease in Copiah Co., MS

Saturday afternoon I got to the stand at 2:35. I was hunting in a cutover and my dad was hunting another stand just 350yds away to my back-left. I got to my stand and climbed in, my dad waited till I was set before he started walking in case he was to jump something on the way. So I sit down, put on my binoculars, answer a text, look up and boom, there is a pig in the food plot 130yds away in front of me. I quickly grab my rifle, zoom in the scope and BOOOOOMMMMM! piggy drops! I was stoked, I've been hoping for a pig for years but no one has ever seen them while hunting, just on cameras. I hear my phone vibrating, it's Dad, I answer "Bacon down!!" He was just as excited. He hadn't even made it to his stand which was a 5 minute walk

Thanks! and yeah it's not ideal having them at all; our plots are getting torn up! Just look in the plot in that picture... But it is nice to put one down

I have only hunted it for ducks before, but I know some people that deer hunt out there. I also hear there are a lot of hogs
