I have two or three (or more) harnesses that came with new stands. They are new and unused. If anyone needs one, I would gladly send them out for just the postage cost. I hate to think of someone hunting without one and me having several laying around not being used. These are nothing fancy, but they are full body harnesses that would be better than nothing at all. Send me a PM with your shipping address and I will get them sent out on Monday. First come, first served until I run out.

I have some laying around two. I got burned twice on HNI years ago by giving them away for the shipping cost only to not get reimbursed and then they of course would not return my PM's.

Get paid first for the postage is my suggestion.

That's an awesome thing to do fletch! And guys if you don't have a harness don't be cheap! Pay the postage it can wind up saving your life. It's at most 10 bucks and for some peace and assurance why not!

I can appreciate what you are saying. I also gave some away back in the day and always covered the shipping too. I guess I'm just not as generous as I used to be. lol

I am going to trust that anyone here that takes the offer will follow up by reimbursing me the shipping. If not, I will give Atlas their home address and tell him I saw them messing with his dog.

Lets face it. It is a different crowd here than it was on HNI back in the day. :tu:

    Good stuff guys! Great idea!

I have a spare harness that came with a stand aswell that I'm willing to throw in the mix. I will send it to somebody for shipping cost only also.

I forgot to add that it's new. Came with the 2 man ladder stand I bought this year. My girlfriend can only use one so I'll give the other away.

I might as well throw my hat in the ring as well. I've got 2 I can give...

Now, if we get a post about somebody falling out of a tree, it's not our fault.

You could look at it the other way, too... if whoever sends the harness doesn't get reimbursed for postage, that was a small price to pay to know you might have just saved someone's life. Just a thought

    Ill take one.
I already have one for me, but my older brother tries to hunt my tree stands all the time and he doesn't have one. Most of the time I am hunting the same time as he is. I have been trying to tell him to buy one but he doesn't want to spend the money, so i have been trying to find one for cheap.

Great idea! My uncle fell from his stand on Wednesday right after he climbed up before he hooked his harness on and shattered his heel and will have to have surgery. Wear your harness!

I also have some that came with stands, I just have to dig them out. So once Fletch runs out you can send me a message.

This is awesome. Really are some rad dudes here! I don't have a harness however realistically I wouldn't use one very often. Seriously cool of y'all.

It only takes one time to die. Last year a man died falling from a tree stand. Left a wife and at least one child. A member of the forum knew him personally. A couple of weeks ago, someone posted that they were attending a funeral for someone who fell out of a stand. It's common and it happens.

Tough guys think....If I fall out of a tree, I'll just call an ambulance.... You won't be calling anyone if you're bleeding internally and are unconscious, or your arms have turned into accordions.

Smart guys think, I'll just put this harness on and climb up in the tree.

We're literally giving them away for free. Don't be a moron. :tu:

I appreciate your concern even if it isn't expressed in the best way possible. And I apologize for the vague post. I forgot to mention that I'm a Cali boy and do 100% of my deer hunting from the ground. Now I am sure in the future I will venture east and find myself in a tree. When that day comes I promise to be strapped in. I am tough! Just not stupid!

I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I typed it with a smile on my face. In my defense, your post said "very often" not "never"

I'm sure I have some laying around if someone needs them. Hell, I have a HSS I only use hanging stands in the summer, and one I only use hunting
