I have spent 4 solid years hunting this buck. Countless hours spent watching and getting to know him. So many awesome trail camera pictures of him. In 4.5 years of hunting him, I had seen him one time from a tree. He was a old ghost of the night after he shed his velvet. I was starting to think maybe id never get to see him. And in a odd way I was ok with that. I enjoyed the quest so much, I didn't want it to end. Every year that passed I would wonder if he was still out there, alive and well. And for the last four springs/summers, I would be so relieved when I got the first pictures of him, he made it! And the obsession would start all over again. On the opening day for Pa, 10-04-14 late that afternoon, I saw him for only the second time.

Well that's cool, with a lot of awesome sauce on top!
Congrats, now on to a new #1!!!! Glad you took advantage of that deer in every way possible. He contributed to the herd for years, has several offspring and before he died of old age...now you have him where he'll be forever admired and respected!

IDK really, Has to be over 6.5 years tho. He was a 120in 8 when I started hunting him. Ill think about it and be like he has to 7. No way he was a 120in 2 year old. Very old for Pa tho. Small patch of woods, pressured area with rifle hunting club not far. That's a story in itself, amazing he lived so long in that area! This is not Iowa. Talking tons of hunting pressure around!
