I'm not very good at guessing age and what not. Could use a little help from guys that are a little better at it then me. These are 2 different bucks.

I peg the first one as a year older than the second one mainly due to chest and shoulders more developed and is more of a short bed truck make up than a stretched out cadillac style body of #2. I'd say at the youngest it's a stud 2.5 for #2 and a 3.5 for #1 but my gut says probably 3.5 for #2 and at least 4.5 for #1.....any history to know more?

I'm fairly sure the 1st was around last year, and he did not change any from last year to this year.

Oh man tough call. I agree with TY saying the top deer is a year older then the second deer. I want to say 3.5 for the top but its really hard not to say 4.5. therefore Id say 2.3-3.5 at the second deer. Saying that though means that second deer is a STUD of a 2.5 and has A LOT of potential so in saying that my final call would be top-4.5 bottom deer-3.5. What do I know though, my guess is as good as anyone else.

I was guessing 4.5-5.5 for the first, and 2.5-3.5 for the second. I would throw an arrow at either. But man I wonder what the 2nd one could be if he went another year.

Oh wow...could mean he's reached his peak and could be up in the 5 year category or maybe older...if so he's got a young man's body to use a human term IMO

I've had deer not make significant jumps between 3-4, it happens. Look at FC

This is probably the best picture and as close to broadside as I have. I'm really guessing this is the same deer now the more I look at it.

I'll look through some more pictures
And see if I have anything else.

I had the first one at 4-4.5, the second one 3-3.5

I'd say the first buck is 4 and the second is 3.

I'd say the first one is definitely a year older than the second one. Just the dip in the belly and back with thicker neck and chest really sticks out when comparing the two. If it were me I would target the older one out of curiosity to see what the younger one looks like next year.

I'm curious to how he would look hanging on my wall if I get a chance at either one.

If you see them both regularly just go for the older one and then you'd already have next years hitlist started (provided he makes it to next year) :) Either way, both great bucks and I'd be happy with either one for sure.

I would say the first buck is 4.5, with the second being 3.5.

Here's a nice guideline that a Missouri deer biologist gave me.

My guess would be 4.5+ on the first and 3.5 on the second. I hope you got a stand right there. Those are some nice deer in the daylight!
