Looks like a good group of guys, lets get after it this season! Maybe everybody can tell a little about themselves so we can get to know everybody. My ream name is Mark and I live in Belmont, WI way down in the SW corner of the state. I hunt mostly in Iowa, Grant and Lafayette counties but go wherever I can chase big whitetails. I got a few good bucks I'm following this year so hopefully I can get some points on the board and help the team. I did the competition in 2012 and only got a doe, didn't do it last year and shot a 160"! I'm hoping that doesn't happen this year
Hey folks looks like it's going to be a fun year. I am also from Wisconsin but from Bloomer, WI in west central Wisconsin. Hunt all over the north western part of the state. Will be going to check my trail camera on Thursday. So far haven't had too many big buck on it but last year I had some big boys that I don't believe we're taken. Hopefully they are still out there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is the main buck I will be hunting this year named "Shorty". I have been after him for 3 years now and had him close several times. He is a 5 1/2 year old and I am hoping he doesn't see 6. This is a buck I call Palmer, he is another great mature deer I am after.
Austin checking in here!! looks like we will have a good team this year. Im from Illinois and will be hunting a 600 acre farm we have. I usually am good for a doe, but its not about that, its about the fun this contest provides to the forum members!! Remember to have fun and don't let the contest affect the way you hunt!
Little about me, I live in Illinois. I hunt Calhoun & Menard. Here's a few pics from the Menard county farm. Ive got these 2 hitting the mineral site pretty regular. Im ready for October. This one has split brow tines. & I really like the mass this one is showing, would definitely like a shot at him.
Those are some great pics there Mark. Ya got some monsters walking around your place there. Im looking forward to your next card pull.
Thanks man. I havent been over to the other farm to pull cards yet but I expect to have much better deer over there than here at home. But if I get the chance Im definitely gonna put one of these two down.
I lost my best property from last year so I'm on only 40 acres this year. I've got some studs running around though and minimal pressure. I don't hunt it until Halloween when I have 10 days off. I fart around on public until then but here in so Wisconsin the are some studs on public too.
Thanks dude. It's kind of a hobby right now. Nothing to serious but I have some fun with it. Check out the Facebook page to lo if you want. The link is on the website. Feel free to post anytime on there.
Menard is dead center central IL. Calhoun is directly below Pike county. Part of the Golden Triangle. Hunting a 1000 acre of private over there. Around 40 stands hung over there this year.
Very nice. My girlfriends family owns and leases 3000 acres between scales mounds, Illinois and Platteville, wi for v there grain operation but only about 100 of that is wooded. Talk about ironic. There are a few promising spots sprinkled in though I'll be scouting when I can.
Lol... Most of that is small strip of woods and fence rows spread out over all of the properties. That being said though I know of at least a few good bucks using those properties. I kinda want to see what they do when the corn comes off though.
Hey Guys! My name is Rob. I hunt Southern Michigan mainly but will head up to the central LP once in a while. We have a couple 3 & 4 yo's on our Southern property. Looking forward to meeting you guys!
