I posted this up awhile back before DIY section was around so I thought I should repost here. I have had a ton of emails on design plans and methods used to make the press since I posted it. I will get together the plans and b.o.m. on the press and post them up as soon as I can. I could not afford to buy a press at $500 so I decided to fabricate one myself instead. I think overall the press turned out pretty good for a fast job. I can press any length ATA split limb bow that I know of with this press at any poundage. I built the press a little overkill in strength though.

Man that looks great! Those clamp arm assemblies look so good they look store bought! I have plans to make my own, just taking a bit of time to get all the pieces to my puzzle to have my dad weld it all together.

Would love to see the plans. Father in law is a master welder and I'm sure he could build it no problem
