Recently, it was determined the county in which I live had become a "minority majority", meaning people that look white, claim white, or whatever are in the minority. Since my children were born and raised in the area in which we currently reside and are a product of their environment, and have not been influenced by the national agenda so to speak, should they be subject to "minority aid" if they choose go to the local community college? For in our community they are minority students when looked at overall. Real question.
My friends mother (white) went to Bowie State here in MD (historically black college) for her masters and was denied minority scholarships. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Honestly, im a "minority" really a majority on the global scale. I love affirmative action as it works for me (possibly not since my race/culture is full of smart people) but I don't think we need it. Minority scholarships are stupid and I do consider it reverse racism. However, I won't fight it as it should benefit me, but you won't hear me saying anything if it gets taken away.
