first bear picture of the year

    Seems every spring a bear comes wandering through. Little nervous this 2012 red40 isnt in a lock box. Lock box is sitting on my work bench. :bash:. Knock on wood no bears have messed with the cameras.

    I usually start getting at least one on camera as well...but haven't this year. Not complaining.

    guy down the road about a 1 mile to the east baits them. A few other people that way do also. I usually call him up and say "start feeding the bears more, they are wondering again haha".

    Nice looking bear. Do you guys have a spring season? Heading to Saskatchewan later this month so its encouraging to see them up and moving around. The guide I hunted with last year put his cameras about 8 ft off the ground and angled them down. Cubs still managed to chew on them.

    no spring season. and yes i been lucky the bears keep on walking rather then stop and investigate the camera.
