Hey guys we got some really cool footage Saturday of us shooting our first toms with bows. I think you will enjoy the arrow exiting the turkey ;)

Also what do you guys use to stick your GoPro in the ground like that? We just got a GoPro and want to use it just like how you did!

One of the best turkey videos I have seen in quite awhile. The set up on the second bird was awesome!

I made these super cheap. You may have to go online and order the part for the go pro. Any hardware store or home depot has 1/4 20 threaded rod. I wrapped hockey tape around it and threaded a nut on. Cut lengths as long as you want. I made all different sizes.

Awesome video! Completely agree with Heckler about the 2nd setup. That couldn't have worked out any better. Congrats on the birds.

Love the second angles you guys got with the GoPro. I am really considering getting a half strut jake decoy like that. Seems like every video I watch the birds are beating up on them

Thats a cool video! Really liked your second setup, how your just standing behind the brush pile. You must have had them patterned well.

Ha Ha I wish I could say we patterned them well! The guy who shot the turkey didn’t want to go there. I told him we need to go try it so we walked along the woods calling with no response. We were headed back to the truck and I thought I could see turkeys way across the field so he put the fan in front of us until we made it to that brush pile. Sometimes you get lucky and that time it worked out perfect for us.

I never had any luck with decoys until I got one of these. The turkeys would see my old setup and sometimes check it out but when I got the Dakota Jake, they started running to attack it! I let a guy at work borrow my decoy for this weekend so he can see for himself how great it works. I don’t know if you noticed but I shot that first turkey twice. He must have thought the decoy spurred him because he came right back! Here’s another video I made. I sent it to a couple of my friends and told them to buy one. Best turkey decoy.com has them for 59 bucks I think. I bought mine at cabelas and paid more for it. This video is shorter but some of the beginning footage is different.

Yeah I typically run two hens and a strutter but after seeing all the videos this year with a half strut jake I am convinced to get one.
