Just thought I would start a thread for us bass fisherman. Post your pictures of your catch, tell the story, what you used, and any tips you have. :tu:

I went out the other day and caught a 2lb largemouth on a 12" ribbon tail worm. There were some 6lb ones jumping but they dont seem to be biting any lure I throw out.

Believe it or not, I'm pretty much done bass fishing for the year. Oh, I'll go a few more times, but I prefer fishing from early February to April using a chartreuse/purple back Rat-L-Trap. I stocked our freezer up with bass fillets pretty good the past couple of months.

The second pic is a shot of my first bass of 2014. The fourth pic is one of my better hauls for one day. The last pic is pretty indicative of the conditions I prefer to bass fish in. I'm pretty sure my fingers were numb when I took that pic. In those conditions I almost always have the lake to myself, and it's not unusual for me to have to keep dunking my rod in the water to melt the ice off of my guides.

No pics, but we ended up catching quite a few yesterday and today. First time fishing this lake in Cape Charles, VA, should be a fun summer of fishing with the kids on the weekends.

Been having a very fustrating spring when it comes to bass fishing. But finally finally finally got a couple today. No blow out day, my best 5 would probably go 13 lbs, which isnt a lot considering my lunker of the day. I have no scale, but know bass pretty well. She was easily over 6lbs. Pictures dont do her justice at all. I could just about put both fists in her mouth. The other one was about 2.5lbs, was my first ok fish of the year. Boy I really can make a fish look small...wish I could do the same to my gut lol.

What were you catching them on. I have been out just once but did not even get a bite. Throwing lipless crankbaits, spinner baits, senkos and not one nibble.

Last year, I fished a lot by myself so please don't judge by all of the selfies ;) The last pic, I held her in the water until my girlfriend could get there and take a picture. All were over 5lb and the last one was just under 9lb

Awesome man! Check if your camera has a timer on it. I use my cell camera, and it has the front camera which makes it extra easy...I just set the timer to 10 seconds then step back a bit and line up the pic. Even before I had the front camera though I would use the timer mode, just made lining up the picture a little harder. Either way, great fish!

A very select group of Silver Bass we kept, between 4 of us on a boat in 3 hours, we caught well over 100 bass. A lot of fun practicing hook sets on these.

I'm having a terrible time bass fishing lately, I haven't been able to find the right bait /color combo to catch more than one or two fish per trip. I'll be back out there trying again tomorrow though.
