Simple question. Easton FMJ or Easton Carbon Hexx. I have a dozen of each and going to keep one to hunt with and the other will be sold.
    Draw Weight: 58#
    Draw Length: 27.5"
    Broadheads: Fixed 100 grain
Arrows Use: Mostly Hunting with the backyard target shooting.

I'm leaning towards the FMJ but would like to hear others people comments or suggestions?

Please keep it between these two arrows. I don't want to hear anything about any other brands/models.:bash:

I use FMJ and i really like them. Only con is that they do occasionally get bent. But ive been shooting nothing but easton arrows for years and you cant go wrong with any of them depending on the bow setup. But i would probably go with the FMJ vs the hexx just because its a heavier arrow and should give you more penetration and the little bit of extra weight will not mess with the arrow flight maybe an inch lower over 30 yards.

I just went thru the arrow change and went with the Hexx. Lighter shaft and more weight for the foc at 12.5 I ended up with a 28" 330 spine arrow with a 50gr. Hit insert I am at 420 gr.total out of a 70 lb Mathews Chill R They fly great:bow:

Both are great arrows. If your leaning towards hunting more I'd say for sure the FMJs. If you were gonna shoot more 3D tourneys I'd say go with the Hexxs just for the fact they are a little lighter and faster to correct for minor yardage errors. Can't go wrong with either though!

One more thing to add as well. It was mentioned in an earlier post about the FMJs bending. I know a few guys that hunt a lot of backcountry stuff and love the FMJs but won't take them just because if they drop there bow and bend the FMJs they are junk. The all carbon shafts will at least flex. If your like me and hunt close to home for the most part its no big deal but if your 15 miles deep it could be a problem. Not sure if that applies to you but thought I would throw it out there.

I know there is a lot of guys that like them but I just cant get past the aluminum in the shaft and the potential to bend. So it would be hexx for me.

i use fmj and with a 50 gr brass insert and 125gr i have around 16 foc. so that combo with a 2 blade rage chisel tip 125 gr pulling 76#with a 29" draw..... shoulders dont stand a chance if i make a bad shot.

Personally I'd go with the Hexx and put a brass insert in the front to increase FOC

    I like the FMJ
    SOLID ARROW

As for my rig, it is loaded with heat sinking Axis 340s.
