When I was younger I could never understand why older dudes would always listen to oldies or classic rock... I thought man what losers that they listened to the same dang songs for 20-30-40 years... Today I had a striking realization while listening to Pandora and got blindsided by heavy dose of reality... A few channels on my Pandora: 90's grunge, 90's alternative rock, 90's metal, 90's Hip Hop. While I have not reached full blown never coming back status as I have a lot of non puberty aged music I listen to but... I can now see I have some of "That Guy" in the mirror... 33 years old and the wheels are already falling off. Whether it be in this way or another way altogether... Have you ever noticed yourself being THAT GUY?
Me, not so much. I did have a traumatic experience today while coming home from my CCL class with Rick James though. I found myself getting ***** rolled when the Spice Girls were playing on his truck radio, not sure about "That Guy" after today
What about someone who listens to 70s and 80s rock and was born in 92? I'm that guy Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
A well performed song is worth listening to no matter how long it has been out there. Walk - Pantera is as good as Walk Away - James Gang, Enter Sandman - Metallica, Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin, Revolution - Beatles, etc. If you are listening to good music, you'll never be that guy. If you listen to Spice Girls, you never stood a chance.
Yeah I was that guy and may be again. I listen to to many decades of music now instead of just the 80'S but I might go back just to the 80's or I might not.
I have always been that guy. If it sucks it sucks. Most Hipster music today sucks. I was born in the right decade for music(1979), unfortunately, it took me until I was 15 or so to enjoy it.
When it comes to you tubing... I tend to listen to 2000 and newer. When I am driving... I enjoy listening to songs all the way back to the 70's. I've pulled old songs up on you tube but they never sound as good as they do on the radio. I think it is more of a mental thing then anything... or is that a senile thing ?? Tim
I've always listened to a variety of newer/older music. I've been a listener of classic rock since I was a teenager.
80's hair bands and early 90's grunge for me being 37.....satellite radio has some amazing stations!!!! I am so that guy though!
