I'd like to get an active thread started for updates, pics, etc. for the state of WI. I know its still a little early, and there's quite a bit of snow on the ground, but is anyone finding sheds or seeing bucks drop yet? I have several cameras running and haven't seen any bucks drop yet. Haven't really heard of too many people finding any yet either. Good luck everyone!
Hard to say, but I am pretty sure this is a buck who has dropped... what do you all think, I am up North. Also glad to see this guy survived the orange wars! Sorry about the branch, there was a lot more snow than I woudl have anticipated.
In Western Wisconsin two of our 3.5 yr olds are holding on but the neighbor has pics of 2 bucks that have shed antlers.
Here's a picture I had sent to me by my step-dad. A friend/co-worker of his found this shed in mid-December. Scored over 70" as a 4 pt!
Here's some I found last year on a walk. I didnt get any as they lay pictures because I forgot my phone in the truck.
I saw the 4 shooters we have left this past Saturday and they all had full racks. There was also 3 other smaller bucks with them and they had full racks too. I'm in southwestern WI.
Im getting ready to go check the cams today to see if we have any droppers yet. A buddy of mine accidently shot a shed buck 2 weekends ago.
First shed of the year for me. It's from an old buck we call Split Ear. He was shed out by dec 23. He has downsized since since year when he was a ten. Just checked my cams yesterday, all my bucks except a little 6 pt where holding their headgear still. Live in southwest Wisconsin. Scoot
Seems like I'm hearing of more bucks in the northern part of the state that have shed. I'm in the Madison area.
I shined a few fields last night and saw about 12 bucks all still carrying both sides. One was a decent 135-ish" buck. Still holding strong in South Central, WI it seems.
