just wondering how much the new mathews Creed XS costs… the website doesn't show how much it, or the ChillR cost.

My local shop has the Creed XS in
    Lost Camo: $899
    Black Tactical: $999
    Black and Crimson: $999
    Desert Tactical: $999
    Black: $999
Lost Camo frame w/ black limbs: $899

I guess just depends on your retailer.

I think it depends greatly on your retailer. I've seen prices vary up to $150 from different locations across the country.

Plenty of other good bows out there that don't cost that much! Don't get me wrong, I have a ZXT and love it but also love my Bowtech Carbon Knight which cost a LOT less than a Mathews and is just as great quality!

I agree, it's getting like motorcycles...you're paying for the name above all else. Which is why I'm a fan of ignoring anyone who is brand loyal to the point of writing off other brands of bows. Me personally my cheap Mission Venture is performing just fine...and last time I checked it flings my set up just fine....

I love my Venture too! And to be honest it still wasn't cheap for me. Being a poor college student this is actually a top end bow for me. A huge jump from my PSE Marauder. One thing I do wonder is how fast it shoots. I never had it chrono'd.

Anyone ever figured out why camo costs less then a solid color like black or desert tan? :dan: You would think the process to camo a bow would cost more.....

I completely hear you! I could afford it but man it was tough doing it...anything that is getting into the hundreds always makes me think two or three times about.

My pro-shop guy said he feels it's actually probably due to demand, he gets probably 4 guys to every 1 preferring camo.

I agree. I would guess (and only a guess), that when it is color they consider it a "specialty color" even though it's not and probably costs the same, they feel they can charge more. IMO it's probably like a car.

I was actually looking over the Riot and the Ballistic. Two bows that came out after the Venture. And honestly I still believe that the Venture is better. If you look at the specs they are all similar and the Venture has better features. The features I like is the roller guard, string suppressors, and the deadend stop. It also has a longer brace height and is more compact A2A. I think the Venture is a dynamite bow!

Not trying to beat on mathews but we already had a creed Xs come back because of a broken plastic bushing. Something I wasn't a fan of them doing from the start. Just thought I would share with those who are thinking about getting the Creed Xs.

I guess I just don't under stand why they went to plastic bushings? I thought what they did with last years creed was a good design.
