First Deer Kill - Respectable Buck!

    I had a great morning and shot the 5th buck that I saw! 25 yard shot, lots of blood and easy to find! my first deer kill...A great day!

    This is my fourth year bowhunting...picked it up at age 30. I'm very happy with him and still can't believe that I'm officially a BOWHUNTER! I read an article this morning at 4 AM about always staying positive while hunting. I felt lucky just to be out there on a Friday, and when a doe busted me, I didn't let it dampen my spirits. Count your blessings if you're hunting!

    Thanks for all the congrats! More importantly, thanks to all of you that answer the questions from the knowledge seekers like me. This website and the Bowhunting magazines are my primary sources of information, with a handful of friends/family filling in the blanks. This forum has been instrumental in my success!

    Now I'm searching for tenderloin recipes! Can't wait!!

    You guys are awesome, thanks again!
