You guys are slacking this year! Usually someone has started this up by now. This is the place to share all your upcoming hunts as they unfold, or simply follow along as everyone hits the woods this Fall. I know a number of people will be out this weekend and some have been hunting already, so let's get this rolling!
Been waiting for this thread to start but my season doesn't start till October 1st so I didn't want to be the one to start it. Who is hunting already? Post if your up in a tree or in a ground blind!
A lot of you know I've already put 2 does in the freezer this summer. I'd post pics and video but that would be redundant. I was hoping to go out today but its raining and the wind was wrong for the property I would've gone to. It's a long season and I'll have more to post, to be sure. Good luck to the teams and everyone this season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
As always I am in. I didn't start the thread because in the past it has been started to early (myself included) which hurts the thread in the long run I think. This is a good time to get it up Fitz. Looking forward to it.
Oh man, 32 days... love this thread You guys who start soon have to hit this up, keeping us office yuppies in the woods vicariously through you!
Be in the tree Sunday Sept 1 looking for a bear. I've had several on camera this year including one that goes about 300lbs. No baiting here so we rely on food plots, natural food sources like beech nuts and apples. My stand is in a beech nut tree that has claw marks up and down the bark. My string to pull up the bow was actually shredded because a bear kept grabbing it as it went up and down the tree. Can't wait for the sun to come up Sunday, just love sitting in a tree watching everything going on around me. I'll be sure to take some video of whatever walks by, even if I can't shoot it. Sept. 14 I'll be deer hunting.
VT bear season opener. Me and the Bear Lights Out in the tree at 0645 this morning, been here since 0545. Cloudy and 65. Rained hard last night, everything is wet. Mosquitos are out. Beautiful morning. So far nothing but grey squirrels and song birds. Lots of beech nuts in the trees. Keep everyone posted.
