Like I said, I can't shoot it. Not easily. I need a lower pound bow and I'm willing to trade. I'll also sell it for a fair price. It's been shot, and works well, my string was stolen and I'm stuck with a degraded one so you'll have to get a new one. Pics on request.
Just to turn the limb bolts or to change the limbs. If its a new limb set its a good deal but if not that pro shop sucks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I was like What?!?! when I read that too, also couldnt imagine a bow shop charging 100 bucks to turn down the poundage of a bow...
There are reports of a band of thugs in NE IL who break into homes with a bow press and remove bow strings from bows. Several homes have been hit and owners return to find their bows in perfect working condition, sans the strings.
I don't know how i feel about this. I'm not sure if this is b/s or not... although most bows you just turn the limb bolts to the left with an allen wrench a half turn at a time to lower the poundage...
Yea haha, string stolen but left the bow. As for limbs, I turned my own down with 0 knowledge about compound bows, it's not hard just do your research. Atleast my bow hasn't broken yet.
Sounds like a bunch of BS, no way does anybody not know how to adjust draw weight...... and surely strings don't get stolen???
Really wanna hear how the string theft happened...i will tell you my swiss army knife has a bow press in it.....I steal as many strings as I can so I have the woods to myself as often as possible:D Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
The way I understood it is that he bought new strings but didn't have them installed yet and they got stolen from his truck? As far as turning the poundage down. It depends on the limbs. If they are 70-80# limbs than you should not turn the limb bolts! If they are 60-70 pound limbs you "should" be able to turn the limb bolts a few turns (3) counter-clockwise to lower the draw weight.
Okay, sorry about the disappearance. To clarify: my bow was in my vehicle with a new paint job, new cables, new wheels and a new string. I left it in the vehicle unlocked for about half an hour, when I returned, the bow was unstrung and my sexy new string had been stolen. Apparently there is a few weird *** kids stealing things that make no sense in the area, everything from bicycle chains to hose nozzles. Sorry for the stale popcorn lol tldr: someone stole it.
I'm gonna go on a limb and say you may need a new bow shop... If adjusting the string costs ya $100 I'd hate to see what a paper tune or what they charge to cut a half dozen arrows. Apparently I'm in the wrong industry. what do a new set of 60# limbs cost? That may be an easier route if the limbs you have are 70#. Checking in with the popcorn as well.
