What's even more disappointing than the lack of teeth in his sentences is the notion there are likely sponsors out there waiting for him to 'get back to work' for them! Hopefully it will be the end of his professional hunting career though!!!
You guys act like he was out spot lighting deer and shooting them at night. He was out helping people hunt, big deal. Even the baiting of the turkeys doesn't warrant 30 days in jail. The only thing he should do time for is having a horrible into to his show. Which, I believe, is what bothers most of you anyways.
Considering he was on probation, he got off pretty easy . Nights and weekends, really? A 1 year ban is not nearly enough either.

Breaking the terms of his probation warrants the 30 days in jail. Actually it should warrant his entire controlling sentence which is way more than 30 days... on the weekends.... between now and Feb 2014. C'mon now if this was you or I me would be in the pokey right now!!!!
I see it as just the opposite. If it were you or me we never would have been on probation because the original charge would have never been pursued so heavily. He's a marked man and its all because of his Colt Ford wannabe intro. I hope none of you ever take a youth out hunting before buying a license for yourself. Glass houses people.
Your right the charges would have never happened because I wouldn't have used my landowner tag on land that I didn't own. ESPECIALLY when you can also buy a Gen. Res tag along with your landowner tag which would have made it a legal kill. But hey he saved $45.... FTR I have never seen his show!!!
And Dan believe me they would pursue the charges here if it were you or I. It wouldn't have made headlines as much as his case but you would definately get hung up for it. Happens every year!!! Additionally the lions share of his trouble came when he took that deer out of state and knowingly violated federal law.
