To get the blood flowing correctly after yesterday, i figured this would be a fun offseason thread.

Lets see some pictures of bucks that you "almost" got. We all have demons in our closet, some more then others (me). Ive had the fortune of hunting the same general ground for 8 season now, and with multiple trail cameras out ive always had my eye on a buck or two.

Ill start with my first true target:

Rumor has it he was killed in shotgun season that year. I never saw him on foot and never really had a chance. But he was a MONSTER.

My second obsession was this guy:

I only saw him during the summer. No rumors ever popped up of a droptine being killed int he area. Disappeared.

    Of course:

We all know how that ended.

This guy was a main target for a year as well, but he got shot and killed:

    And our current main target:

Nothing that compares to your pictures but in my one year of hunting my land land this is the biggest buck I've laid my own eyes on. I was actually hunting with my son here when this picture was taken but he was too far out.

Excuse the dates, I never set them on my camera.

This was a buck I was hunting in 2011. He kept showing up over a mock scrape I made, usually while I was working. :(

I named him that because he was the most vocal deer I've ever hunted. Never got him with in range, and didn't see him again after that season.

I didn't name this guy but did get several pics of him. Missed him with my ML when he was nudging a doe at 85 yards. Not one of my proudest moments. He got hit by a car a couple of weeks later.

2012 last year had two bucks. the first one was a main frame 10pt with a kicker coming of his G3 was able to chase after him for 4 days straight and my ex was able to put a arrow in him but as luck would have it it was to high abouve the spine and non leathal

Great bucks guys, wish you all best of luck putting them down this year! Here is one of mine that never did seem to give me a shot last season, haven't seen him yet but I hope he is still around.
