Give your opinions please between the Drenaline and the Switchback XT. Which do you prefer and why? I currently have a Dren but just got a line on a Switch XT and wondering if it is worth picking up. Both are the same year.
46 views and not a single opinion.. lol must be all Hoyt and PSE guys.. I can't see a whole lot of difference between the 2 bows spec wise.
Drenalin. It was released after the XT. Better limbs (slimmer, stronger), and a great bow. Mine was good to me until I sold it.
Don't get me wrong, the XT (Even the original Switchback) is still a great bow. But given the choice, I'd pick the Dren.
I have shot the XT for 6 years now. Love it. I have shot the Z7 Xtreme but even that wasn't all that wow for me to buy. IMO if you like the dren stick with it. My buddy has one but hates it. He ended up getting a creed and loves it. Everyone is different with bows. Some you may like more then others. If you shoot the XT and you like it better then go for it. if not wait it out. Bows come out like every 2 months it seems.
I have shot my XT for 3 years. I have loved it from day one. Very smooth, great weight, soild back wall. Id go shoot it bud an see what you think. I cant really tell you how it compairs to the dren, but i also have a DXT that i just picked up. An the switchback holds it own other than alittle slower fps. Be sure to post some pics up if you do end up gettin it!
Drenalin. I had one until earlier this year. Friend had a Switchback XT and it was a good bow, but the Drenalin rocks.
Since I shoot a SBXT, I would say the SBXT..Best Bow I have ever shot, It is so easy to Fine Tune, I will probably will never Buy another New Bow.
Gonna shoot it tomorrow, even if I like it I wont be getting rid of my Dren that's for sure. May pick it up as an x-tra though if it shoots good. The price is right
I wasn't a huge fan of my brother-in-laws Dren. It was never the performer that I thought it should be for what he payed. It was quiet but it always seemed to have tuning issues and he was just never that accurate with it. He sold it and got a Z7x and loves it. I have a buddy with a Switch and he loves it. I've never shot it so I don't have much of a say, but I'd recommend you shoot it and see if you like it. Everything you read about them seems positive and to me, they were Mathews first major break in the market. The bows prior were nice, but the Switchback was Mathews first big hit if you ask me.
I've heard more than one person say fairly recently that they think the Switchback XT is the best bow that Mathews has ever produced. Having never shot one I can't really speak to that. I will say that even though there's a Heli-m in my bow case now, there's still a Drenalin right behind it. It was and still is too good a bow to let it go.
