Started off nice and looks like you do a nice job filming and editing but I shut it off part way through. I refuse to watch hunting shows where guys don't care enough about themselves or family & friends to wear a safety harness. Soon as I confirmed you weren't wearing one I shut it off. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't wear one and don't care to watch people be stupid.

Im sorry you felt that way, I was looking forward to hear more about the film.. And to confirm, we do wear safety harnesses. We do care about ourselves. Family. And friends. It was a cold day my dad threw wool coat over the harness so you can't see it. And he had to climb around the tree to get the shot. He would not do that if he didn't have a harness on.

I am hoping to hear more comments about the film. Thanks!

    I didn't see a safety harness either.

But the film was good I thought! Nice job grading and your dad killed a big deer. Party! :tu:

I remember a while back you mentioned selling one of your camcorders and getting a Blackmagic. Was any of this filmed with the Blackmagic? If not, how do you like it? I don't know anyone who has one, but I've read pretty good reviews.

Can you tell me where the harness is here? Because I don't see anything attached to the tree.

Other than that, Awesome video! I really like the intense mood it gives off. Really shows why we do what we do. Good work!

That was the exact spot of the video where I shut it off. No way does he have one on in that scene and if he does he clearly has no clue how to wear one and it would probably do more harm then good. Like I said I enjoyed the video up till that point. The footage was great and so was the editing. Would love to see future videos assuming.......well you know!

Harness or not, the video was awesome! I understand that taking such a risk can be sometimes deadly, but that's a choice every hunter makes individually. Good job though :tu:

I never did get any buyers on my NX5 so I kept it again for this year of filming. I never did get to purchase a Black Magic but they are really awesome. Now the 5d mark iii has come out with firmware to film in RAW video. Have you seen that? its really sweet.

Haha well I will assure you that he has one on. And I'm pretty positive my dad knows how to put it on haha he has been bowhunting every year since '76. The harness was hooked up around his waist so that he could maneuver in the tree. Give it a shot if you can and see the ending! Thanks for the opinions and comments:)

Thanks Illinoishunter, I'm just looking for comments about the video and editing!! Thats completely right its a choice each hunter can make and yeah he DID have a harness on but even if he didn't we would still try it out to get the shot. Gotta make it happen haha. Thanks again!!
