No Dang Turkeys

I've been hunting hard with my bow all season and have heard one turkey. I am still enjoying myself but it has been a hard season. I Hun public land exclusively by choice so that's part of it. Anyone else had it rough this year?

I have only seen one hen the entire season!

 

I heard a lot of turkeys, they just wouldn't come in.....

 

My buddy and i called a group of 5 in today at a little after 6. The first one was maybe 10 feet from my decoy but was blocked by brush.

Then another group of hunters started moving in the woods nearby and they spooked.

Didnt see any more birds today. So weak!
