hey everyone great site.. learning a lot from reading the threads. any one else from west michigan? looking for any advice on gaining some acess to private land, if anyone knows of any good public land or if anybody needs a hunting buddy thanks.. bow hunt or die
Welcome! And for state land on the west side I've always heard good things about Cadillac but I've never had the chance to make it out that way to hunt there. So I hope that helps you a little and gives you a little bit to start with.
Michigan is really hard to gain access to private land unless you own it or know someone. All i cant say is put in your time knocking on doors and meeting new people. Another thing worth giving a try is looking on craigslist or putting a add on there, thats how i happened to come across my lease i have now.

Welcome to the site! Good luck on your pursuit for private property, it can be a challenge in any state.
Hopefully you'll find someone who will let you hunt on their land. I hunt public land and it sucks big time. Nothing like hunting while 12 year olds tear up the place with 4 wheelers. Welcome to the site!
welcome noob! i'm from west michigan...kalamazoo to be exact. allegan state game area is really pretty dam good. Just get out of there before gun season starts. where did you move from...?
Moved from Durand about 15 minutes west of flint on 69... I've hunted my brother in laws once or twice he's in plainwell not far from kzoo
