Nice bird! My all time favorite shotgun is the 870! It can be used as a boat paddle, club, walking stick, baseball bat and in the event you get to go hunting...a shotgun! Good work Pat.

Beautiful bird and equally beautiful picture. Big congrats. For future reference, I hear real men kill their turkeys with a bow. Just sayin....

Keep telling yourself that and I will keep stacking them up with the old 870. I have ZERO interest in hunting turkeys with a bow.

I understand, it is fun to shoot the beak off! But seriously, have you tried the bow? It really is pretty addictive. It takes just a little more scouting, but it really is not that difficult. If you kill them easily with a gun, you can kill them with a bow every year. It does usually take more time in the field though. Congrats on filling both tags!

I have shot 4 with my bow ... Recovered zero still NO interest in doing it again. I love bowhunting deer and love turkey hunting to much to make it the same Sitting in a blind waiting for one to walk by or using decoys just isn't my thing. The mentality that guys that bow hunt turkeys of them being better than the guns that use shot guns is another thing that really bugs me. Rant over
