I took some pics of my buddy Brenner's mount of the bow buck he got in October. He's going to be in a magazine and is trying to decide what pic to use. We narrowed it down to one of these. What one would you pic? #1 #2 #3 #4 Thanks Dave
I like pic 4 the best but I would go with 1 for the magazine. All of the pictures are taken with the sun at a major angle to him so in all the picture his face has a major shadow covering it except for #1. If 4 was turned and he was facing into the sun I think it would have been a great picture. I think I actually like #1 the least but I would still go with it. Going to be in a magazine you want to see his face.
After looking at it closer I also think the best characteristic of the buck is the little crab claw and you can't really see it in 2 & 3.
I know it's just a picture but I find it a little weird that he is holding the bow upside down in #2 & 3.
I showed these to my mom (she was a photographer proof-reader). #1 or #4 are the best photos. #1 has a multitude of 'character' and #4 shows the best characteristics of the deer (and that's what is being 'presented' in the article). BTW... nice deer!
