Looking into purchasing some quick fletchings... Has any one used or have heard of them? They look super easy to apply to arrows but I don't want to buy something that's not going to last. Any info would be great!
I have used the NAP Quickfletch the past few years and have been very pleased. Yes they are really easy to apply but more importantly they perform and have held up well. I put the same arrow through a doe and coyote this past year and could still use it since the fletching remained intact.
I love them and have no plans to ever go back to a jig and glue! Suggest that you buy an extra package just to keep on hand incase you do have a problem and need to replace one. I tore a vane off the other night while shooting in my basement and had it replaced a few minutes later.
I've been using them for several years now, greatest thing since sliced bread. I'll never fletch again. As a matter of fact, I sold all my fletching tools. Blessings.........Pastorjim
This is good to hear, cause I intend to buy some in the near future, question is, would they work for my Carbon Injexions?
I have used them several times and they work well but they are not for me......here is why. I generally have couple of different bows set up...so it always seems I am fetching or re flethcing and arrow. Pros:Easy to use. Cons: 1)Expensive....cost about 2 to 3 times the amount of a wraps and vanes depending on what materials I use. 2) Heavy, most weigh up to 10 -15 grains more then a wrap and fletching , this adds weight to the place on the arrow where I least want it....the *** end. If I am going to put weight on the rear of the arrow I would rather do it with something more functional...Like a uni bushing or lighted nock. 3) Less flexibility and choices. There are only a handful of styles of vane used on quick Fletch...and all use the heavy shrink tubing... By fletching my own I am able to optimize my fletching choice for my intended purpose. For example, If i was shooting small stream line mechanical broad heads I will most likely flecth without a heical and use an off set....Or the opposite when I shooting large fixed blade heads I can Fletch with larger fletching and add heical... Just two of many example.
I used to use them then went to jig and glue and couldn't be happier. I had issues with durability with them, just not for me.
I love them they are quick an easy to put on! An they can withstand abuse! I actally just bought another half dozen about a month ago!
I'm torn. The reviews here read just like the reviews on Bass Pros site. Both positive and negative about durability. And the cost is steep, if you don't consider the initial cost of a fletching jig. What do I know though. I'm the noob here to learn. Sent from my SPH-M920 using Tapatalk 2
If your where planing on using blazer vanes for example....... AAE Quick Fletch Mini.....40-50 $...say 45$ avg 100 blazer vanes..15$ lok tite fast set gel....3$ at walmart white arrow wraps...5$ a dozen est total cost for your first dozen arrows...68$....after that its about 11 $ a dozen Most quick fletch products.... about 16 -22$ for 6.....so figure 40$ a dozen..... Not very hard to see that a Fletching jig and 100 blazers pays for itself really quick....
Love em... Though the "Quick Spins" definitely seem to handle broadheads much better than "Twisters;" at least for me, shooting Muzzy 125 heads.
Altogether they are a great product. Have been using them on my Carbon Express arrows for the last month and have performed very well, only downside is they really do make you extremely accurate. I have "Robin Hooded" 3 times since switching to these and shot the fletchings off multiple times with em. Sometimes they seem to get kinda brittle to where my whisker biscuit gives em a tear on the vanes. But I would recommend the product.

I used them up until about a year ago. They worked great. The only issue I ever had was the vanes tearing off here and there. Mostly due to blowing though a worn out target here and there. I haven't had an issue with blazers properly glued doing that. I loved the way the QuickSpins flew. My biggest complaint is expense. So my solution is now going with QuickSpin vanes.
A lot of great advice! I think I'm probably going to go with them for one major reason... Easy to apply. Again thank you all for the great insight.
