Nikon Archers Choice, I love it but now thinking about it i should have went with a Nikon that ranges further than 150 Just so i can use it for other hunting as well. But works and operates flawlessly.

Nikon riflehunter 1000. Had it for two seasons now and I have zero complaints. It has the same angle compensation as the archers choice but this on goes out to 1000 yards which may or may not appeal to you depending on if you do any rifle hunting.

I bought the Bushnell Scout 1000 ARC and I have been really happy with it. I really like that it has the angle compensation. It is also really nice that it has a bow mode and a rifle mode in addition to the regular mode.

My brother has one of these. Dropped it out of his stand and it landed on a rock.... Still works perfect.

I bought a Bushnell BowHunter Chuck Adams Edition 4x 20mm ARC Bow Mode Laser Rangefinder a couple months ago and really like it so far. It is nothing special works good for everything I need. I have not tested it in the woods during low light conditions. They sell for a pretty good price on amazon

To me, it's all about the size or precision of the laser. Some models will pick up twigs, leaves, etc, if they're anywhere near the beam going to your target. I use a Nikon 440, and I can really pinpoint the laser without picking up obstacles.
I've used both brands, and found that Bushnell is JUNK compared to Nikon.

Ive had my bushnell 1000 arc now for the past two years, works aweosme, i absolutley love it. There are many different modes on it, like stated in the other posts. Would even be good for someone that hunts with a rifle.

After a few hrs at the store I went with the leupold RX-1000i TBR, it has it all for both the bow and rifle. The main thing that pulled me to it was the red lit LED it helps a lot in all light conditions and no matter what the background. Never had a single problem with it the only down side is the price!!

I forgot to mention that this also has a brush mode that doesn't get interference from limbs and such.

Used the Nikon 550 for a couple of years and loved it. Switched to the Vortex Ranger this year. I was scratching my head wondering why I was going to switch from a perfectly good rangefinder to the Vortex. I went back and forth for awhile and made the switch. Man.........the Vortex is well worth it!!!! Unbelievable in low light situations. The glass is amazingly clear and bright. Love it!!!
