Im thinking that the best time of the year to purchase hunting/archery gear is around now, but im also thinking maybe around may or june, the reason im asking is because I bought a feild and stream Rubline hang-on treestand for $99 in october and now its on sale at ****s for $69. Which I should of knew that it would of been more during archery season.

Actually think we are about a month late for best deals in my area. Went to ****s Friday and fiance stopped at Farm & Fleet today to look for clearance stands and neither store had a single stand. They said they had them on clearance then shipped the left over to southern stores.

Most of the local stores around here have pretty good sales right before the archery season begins but after the season close outs are my favorites.

Depends if you are looking for bargains or the newest, latest gear.

Any time the season is over would be good for bargains. A lot of the new gear hasn't hit the shelves yet. Most big stores have a Deer/Bowhunting sale a month or so before the season.

A couple weeks back I got a Diamond Deadeye marked down from $799 to $499 for the kit. So I'd say now is good.

Right now is a good time to buy clothing, specifically Sitka Gear. Many places selling it at 20% off right now. Have to get on it quick because it is limited supply and once it's gone, you will have to wait until june when the new is released.

Camofire.com sells a lot of Sitka gear at a discount if that's your thing. I know nothing about Sitka other than it seems expensive and looks like it's high quality. I just got some good deals from Sports Authority. Here they are doing away with the hunting and fishing departments so everything was cheap.
