I had one for about a month. It is a nice bow for the money, but I hated the grip. Something about it just wasn't right for me. It had a nice smooth draw and shot great though. But for $400 for a bare bow, I'd go with Mission myself.

I love my brute. Was looking at the other bows in the price range, but after shooting the brute nothing was even close to the comfort level the brute had. I've heard a lot of people complain about the grip, but I think its awesome.

I have a Brute X and love it. Don't have any complaints and the grip is just fine with me. Great bow and not just for the price.

What they said...I love the grip. It works for me perfect. I guess it depends on what you want and like. I prefer PSE over any other brand except Hoyt. If your wanting a more expensive bow...look at the PSE Hammer...it is one fast and sweet bow!

Your Welcome...now I am parcel to PSE...lol. It really depends on what fits you best. With the Brute X you did get a lot of high end features for the money though.

Just bought mine this weekend and I love it. I'm not a big fan of the grip but besides that, the bow is well worth the money!

I speak from inexperience, but the only thing I don't like about my grip is how cold it gets. I plan on stripping 550 cord and using the flattened sheathing as a wrap. Turkish 4bite.

Got my new Brute last week and so far it's been great. I bought the package deal for $500. So far, so good.

I think you will really like it. I shot a LOT of bows in the price range...I kept going back to the Brute X.

I had the Brute X for about a month. I was never really comfortable with it and for some reason it was just "off".

I had the Stinger 3G for about six months it was pretty nice. My uncle picked up the brute X and i shot it quite a bit bfore deciding to one up him lol it is a nice bow for the money i ended up with the 2013 PE Drive when all was sid and done i just wanted a pro series bow.

A note on the grip of all the newer models, i hunt in the snowy mountains and after deer season i continue to hunt yotes with the stick and string, My hand froze to the grip i was a few steps shy of frost bite even with my thicker cloves on. it completely frosted over very brutal grip BUT I bought the PSE grip wrap and now the grip is a little bigger a lot warmer and way more comfortable, just food for thought!
