I just got into bowhunting last year, so I hadn't really shot many bows. I just had an older bow from a friend of mine that I was using. Yesterday was my birthday, and my wife knew I really wanted to shoot some bows, and maybe buy a new one. She took the kids to a sitter, and blindfolded me, and took me to the local Archery shop to shoot bows. We were both shooting the bows, and I was really liking the Bowtech Assassin. Well, while I was shooting, she talked to the guy helping us, and unknown to me, had just purchased the Bowtech, with 1/2 dozen arrows and a new release for my birthday! I was beyond stunned! I never expected this in a million years! I sure love my wife!

I was surprised, I was set on the Mission Venture, but everyone told me to shoot as many as possible, I grabbed the Assassin, and it just felt right. Was almost an indescribable feeling.

Tfox- It was tough to see where I was shooting with the blindfold on. I hope no one got hurt real bad...

Awesome! That's what they mean by shoot as many as you can and let the bow pick you. Congrats on the new bow. You'll get years of enjoyment out of it. Sounds like you have an awesome wife. Post pics as soon as you can, is like to see your new toy. Did she shoot too? Maybe next year you'll have to go shopping for a 2man stand.

She did shoot. She really liked the Bowtech Heartbreaker, and the Diamond Infinite Edge. I have a feeling that's going to be her next purchase. As soon as she started shooting, she absolutely loved it!

My wife did the same thing to me saturday, but it wasn't just for me. Now we have two new bows. Love the sport, hate the price tag.

Yeah, the price tag sucks, thats for sure. Yesterday was the first time she had shot a bow in probably 6-7 years. She also hadn't shot anything better than the "one size fits all range bows". The tech gave her the Diamond Infinite Edge to shoot, and she loved it. She had a lot more fun with that one. They didn't have a lot in stock for womens bows. What bow did your wife end up getting AL-bowhunter?
