Harvested my first deer with this broadhead. My shot was about 27yds broadside from my groundblind. Complete pass through and it broke a rib going in and coming out. The rib on the entry was cut through the lenghth way not a cross cut. I retrieved my arrow like 12 feet past the point of impact !!!!! These broadheads are the real deal :) My bow is a 70lb pull with a 411gr total arrow weight, it chrono'ed at around 275fps. The only negative I do have to report about them, to keep it factual, is one of my blades was broken off when I found my arrow. I do think it broke on the second rib, on the way out and got lost on the ground. Both entry and exit wounds were decent in size. The blood trail wasn't heavy but I assume that's because of my lack of shot angle. He was full of blood when we did the field dress.

Congrats on the deer:) Did you shoot those through a mesh screen? I was thinking of buying a ground blind for next season and one of the concerns I had was shooting an expandable through the screen I was thinking I would have to shoot a fixed head which isn't an issue but I was curious.

I took the mesh screens out, I didn't want to risk it with my first time launching an arrow at a deer. Also I didn't practice through the mesh. I was blacked out and he never saw me draw at 25 yards or so

congrats on #1! Killzones are very lethal. I had the same thoughts on the blood trail as you did with the killzones. I prefer the bloodtrails off my spitfires, but when they die in sight from the tree with killzones the blood trail doesnt matter as much.

I'm torn between the NAP Killzone and the Rage Extremes. Anyone shot both that could point out pros and cons?

i like the concept of the killzones but dont know if they will work with my setup. i shoot a quest torrent at 27 inches 53 pounds with a 325 grain arrow. is that enough or too low of a dl and poundage. any feeback would be great.
