I just bought a bow rattler string damper and it touches my cables? The cables slide up and down just fine, but I don't know if they will show wear and tear from it. Any advice?

I would either move them so they don't touch the cables or remove them and use a different type. You want your cables to be unrestricted, if they are touching it will affect accuracy.
