I thought I would post a list of links from BH.com that covers all sorts of topics. This is great for those new to the site and those Oldtimer's that never leave the Forum section of the website. I know I've looked this over a few times now, but can you add a check list artical or something like that? I'm heading out first thing in the am flooded ground or not. Thanks Fitz
Wow sweet job, and thanks, this will help many, and there is a ton of good information all in one spot.
My favorite all time beginning to an article is this one found in "Deer Hunting Small Property".....The little farm wasn’t much, just 350 acres or so Sorry but if 350 acres is small you're freaking insane! Good article but always makes me chuckle! Thanks for this Fitz makes for very quick resource and reference, GREAT TOOL!
We get a lot of information on gear, strategy, weather, etc.... Do you have any links or direction for me? Quick summary: I'm doing my first hunt with my uncle in Northern MN next week. I have about $1000 worth of gear (prob more) and he has the strategy, location and we know the weather. My dilema: WHAT IF I SHOOT ONE????? I've seen many videos about how to gut one and I actually think I can do this with precision and avoid some beginner mistakes like nicking the guts. My concern is real life; I'm sitting there with a deer carcass and a 2004 trailblazer. My uncle and cousin drive off 6 hours in the other direction. What do I do???? Do I drive it home and drag it into my living room ask the Mrs to fry it up? Do I tie it to the roof of the car and go Griswald style into Chicago's busy city on my way home scaring every kid and all my neighbors? How long do I have before it spoils? Is there a service that will pick it up? Can I UPS this bad boy to someone? Please give some advise for us new guys on what to do after the animal goes down. Thanks, Fritz G-Dog
Thank you for putting this together. I have read all the articles, some more than once. Very helpful for a new hunter/archer. Again, thank you ad look forward to seeing more.
