I want to purchase a handgun and have it shipped to a local gun shop here in De. Anyone know of a reputable on line supplier?

You can buy from any gun store you'll just have to pay extra in shipping and taxes..

I have bought a few guns from Gunbroker.com, never had any issues.

For gun complaints or gun ratings check gun directory. the website has been shut down as of late due to it's large volume of cache of complaints of certain guns over the past 3 months. I've found the information very useful to avoid certain weapons and ideal for many others.

With the law Markell just passed, its almost impossible to get a gun shipped to DE. You are better off going to Lawmen's Supply in Dover.

I don't know what DE's laws are but I have bought guns from various sellers on Gunbroker. (always shipped from an FFL to an FFL per the law) Bud's guns has great prices, but never seem to have what I'm looking for.

The Governor of Delaware Jack Markell has enacted legislation basically eliminating online purchases shipped to the state concerning any weapons or ammunition. You have to buy in state.

From what I have found after I buy a gun online have it shipped to a FFL dealer and pay his fee the background check fee, and taxes I can do just as well buying localy. Gander has a good sale on many handguns through the 27th right now just a heads up if you have one in your area. Also The price Buds list's is the cash price use a CC and you need to add like 5% to the cost of the weapon.

Depends on your gun store and taxes. If I buy online, I don't pay state tax (8%) and the FFL transfer fee and NICS check is usually only 20-25.00: and since my local gun shops tend to be priced pretty high.... it's usually much cheaper to buy online.

(now, of course... you're supposed to pay the state sales tax later at tax time, and everyone does that.. right??)

Bud's non cash price is 3% higher but you could get the cash price if you send a check.

I found a shop here that has what I want and I will just make the purchase there, but thanks for all the info. I was under the impression that I could have had it shipped to a FFL and pay his fee but things seemed to have changed. Thanks to all for the input.

I picked it up this afternoon, a Ruger SR40C. It's a lot different than the P95 I had. Hope to get to a range this weekend but I also have to take the Grandson on Sunday for his field day to complete his hunter safty course then over to Bass Pro for a few odds and ends to complete his opening day needs. Saturday is for the misses, she want to take the MC and go to the beach, bla bla bla.
