Was at BPS today and they have the Gorilla on sale so both the Muddy and the Gorilla in camo are the exact same price. I had a friend put both on hold for me so I could do a bit of research before picking one up. Anyone have any experience with both or either of these? I have seen and read some reviews of both but never comparing the two. Thanks!

I have a Muddy and love it. I had to buy a new harness for the upcoming season after losing about 60lbs last year. I liked the Muddy so much I bought another one. I wear my harness under my outer layer so I was looking for a harness that was light and fit well under that layer. I found it in the Muddy. I've read and heard good things about the Gorilla though.

I've 350 plus hours in a Muddy. I like it. I'd be willing to look at the Spider harness, but I'll likely be back in my Muddy due to a new LW purchase eating up the slush fund this month.

I just purchased a Gorilla 30. The testing and fitting I have done so far, I really like this harness. Bass Pro has it for 120.00 for the next week too.

Because it is on sale is the only reason that I am even looking at it. I know the Muddy harness is great but at the exact same price I just wanted to be sure.

Rut Junkie: Have you ever worn the Muddy? Just curious if anyone has been able to compare the two firsthand?

Yes, my son hasa Muddy, I have also had 3 HSS too. I was looking at the Tree Spider also andcould not find one to try out before i purchased. I like the Gorilla as much atthe Muddy. I do like the buckles on the Gorilla they should never come apart like my HSS did.
Go and try them on, Bass Pro let me take one out of the box before I purchasedthe harness..

I have not tried the Muddy but had the Gorilla and did not like. I have the HSS Ultra lite and love it it fits perfect and does not get in the way

Picked up the Muddy harness today. Decided on Muddy because I know many who use and swear by it. And I know the owner of Muddy personally. now if the season would just get here so I can wear it!

I bought the gorilla during the bass pro hunting classic for 90 bucks. It is a much better improvement to the one that came with my summit viper. It will be nice getting into my harness in under 1 minute versus 5 plus with that old one. I like the idea of the longer cord also, I have shooting lanes all around my tree so the little extra reach will be nice.
