Hey I have been shed hunting in the years past and I have only found two different spike sheds. what are some of your tricks and secrets to finding some more. And when is it the best to start looking in Midwest Wisconsin?

If you know where they bed and where they are feeding check those 2 places and in between.

Walk and then walk some more.

Focus on late season food sources and bedding areas.

If there are not a good amount of bucks showing up during season/on cams there won't be many sheds showing up.

Same advice as others, walk you butt off and go slow. Keep sun at your back when possiable, cloudy days and rain or moist ground is optimal conditions. Sheds really pop on wet ground with overcast and cloudy days, they can drop anywhere. But winter they are focused on food and sleep so find those and routes surround and you will find sheds. I typically go toward the end of February through April or until green up is too thick, but I have found them as soon as mid January. Good luck!

Find the majority of my sheds on southern facing hillsides. Usually these hills have food source within 100 yards.
