I have heard a lot about being able to train your dog to hunt sheds, has anyone actually done this and it worked for them?
I started him out as a pup and it was his every day routine and chew toys in the house. It just came natural to him !!! Plus he is very smart and always wants to please !!!
Mine kind of took to it naturally, he loves antlers and we give them to him as toys. We thought about training him to do it, but never did. I do use him to find deer trails in the summer to scout for deer trails as he is the poop finding machine. And Turtles.....if turtle finding were a sport I'd have a world champion. Seems like if you give a lab an antler you have a 50/50 shot without training.
