Was wondering if anybody in Wisconsin had either been out or have already been finding sheds? Weather is suppose to be nice this weekend and was thinking about getting out and do some searching.
I've got 4 so far, but haven't been able to get out looking for the last week or so. A friend is currently sitting at 6.
Found one 1.5yr fresh shed yesterday. Most of my boys are still wearing both sides though. I'm in Winnebago Co.
Yea I went out yesterday and searched half of one of my properties. No sheds but some how I came across an arrow that I lost this last fall practicing and got some great intel about the property
I have one buck on camera on pretty consistent basis that has shed both already. I didnt start getting pics of him till after he shedded. Being chiefly on micro-small hunting properties, I am not gonna start looking for sheds until as late as possible, until it is likely all the bucks have shed. This is for fear of blowing bucks off the property.
Want to get up to the hunting land and put a couple cameras out in some new areas for the rest of the winter. Want to take the youngster with me and hike the land, follow some trails and get into areas that are pretty hard to access when not frozen.
Anyone getting pictures of bucks still carrying? Have only found one so far this year, but I plan to hit a few of my spots next week. I heard from a friend he had 4 of his older bucks still carrying and that was Feb 19th in Southern Wisconsin. I am more Northern WI.
