Good idea to make it a habit of looking back every 100 yards or so.
This is what happened to me a few years back (would never have thought I could possible walk past a shed like I did and not see it) anyway was concentrating on something I’d seen in the bush and walked right past this set of sheds. Had been about 80 yards past already and luckily had the habit of looking back and spotted them.
By glancing back while shed hunting one also gets a different angle or perspective not seen before to spot those elusive bits of bone.

I have also done something similar. two of us were walking along and for some reason I looked back and on top of a wide open knoll sat a big antler at 10 yds. I literally walked 3yds by it and never seen it. it was almost like someone planted it. it was that obvious. I guess I had a blonde moment!!! none the less I got it by looking back. very good tip!!!

Was rabbit hunting yesterday. I started to look back after reading this. Didn't find any sheds but it does look different at another angle. Its how I did find a little bit of snow covered grass that lead to a rabbit. :D
