SHED COUNT = 23 Here is my first of the year and it is a match set! Found on 1-19-15 on private land. The scores are in! Well, I found a Star Wars Light Saber on 1-28-15 and of course I started to make the noise and swing it around like a kid. After I did a spin with it I tossed it to the ground because I just walked by a GIANT buck that was on the opposite side of a downfall tree that I walked on the other side. I then found a second buck. Here are the pictures of the day!
Went for a short walk today 1-30-15 before my Grandpa duties were needed and found three more. A 5 point then a 8 point match set!
Went out for a walk on 2-4-15 and then the snow started falling again. I got a very nice walk / workout in walking through all the snow. On the way out I made the correct turn in the snow. Look how the shed was laying and I did not see it until I was three feet from it. Woot Woot. Still had blood on the end but the snow washed it off when it melted. I also jumped a bunch of bucks still packing both sides and one that was sporting the left side so there is a right side out there to find.
Went for another walk today 2-8-15 and went to the same area that I found my first match set this year. I was about 20 yards from where I found my set and this is what I found:

Went for a walk today 2-10-15 on the other end of the thicket that I was in and found that small 4 point. Well, I matched it up! I was about 30 yards to where I found the one side and there the other side laid. I am not sure how I missed it the other day but I did. This one also had blood all over the end. Here is the one side then the match!
Well, this is getting crazy! I went to the spot where I found the two sets and found another shed in the same spot. Not sure why beside the snow is a tad less than every where else. The deer are hanging out in this spot A LOT so I think I will be finding sheds in this spot all shed season. I have found 6 sheds in a 30-40 yard radios. This is crazy! Here is todays find:
Nice job man, looks like your off to good start this year. I just checked cams Friday and saw couple were dropping antlers so I'm gonna haveta start hitting hard.
well looks like it is going to be a while for shed hunting here in nw pa. was out feeding deer and there is still about 3 feet of snow in the woods. deer are really working hard to get a few acorns. also getting buck pics still with both sides. I also got a pic of them fighting. I was hoping the fight would knock them off but no luck. doesn't look like the weather is going to break any time soon.
TC there is only one thing you need to do then! Drink some Yuengling and relax my friend until you can get in the woods. I just wish Yuengling came over to Illinois but it does not so we come out there to the Brewery every year and get our load.
Nothing this morning but a SAD sight! What a sad way to die for a deer! I think it is a buck that had shed also. Here he is:
