    1. Any shed off any animal between the dates of October 1st, 2017 and May 1st, 2018 shall count for this contest. This includes Mule deer, Elk, Whitetail etc. (We've lenghtened the season to include those that may have found a shed already to increase competition amongst teams.)

    2. Dead heads do not count for the contest. Sure, they're cool. But by definition NOT sheds.

    3. You are not obligated to post pics of every shed you find. But please post some so no one suspects anyone of cheating. This contest is for fun.. let's keep it that way.

    4. Sheds found inside high fence areas will not count for the contest. This keeps it fair for everyone. Sheds legally found in non Deer hunting areas will count as long as its legal and from free range Deer.

    Enjoy the contest!!

    Good luck to all!

So it's by the number of sheds? Not the size of the sheds?

Mike can you extend the ending date to June at least... The snow in the Norths here wont be gone until April and the elk don't start shedding till April, May is always a huge month for me personally. Thanks

The problem with that Troy is the time frame.. extending the contest further tends to bore the audience as 99% of the guys/gals are done by this point of the year (May 1st).

I realize you do a lot of your shed hunting in May.. so do a few of our Canada guys.. but I need to keep the contest fair for the majority.. who will no longer be sheddin' in late in May.. in fact nearly everyone will be done by the end of March.. so April was added for you few guys.

To keep the competition closer.. and the masses interested.. May 1st will be the official deadline every year. I apologize to a few of you guys who still find them after this date.. but they won't be able to count for the contest.

Post the pics here though.. I love to view big elk sheds I do!

Mike, I am sorry but I don't feel like this has anything to do with keeping it fair. If we want to talk fair, then understand that many of the sheds in this country, especially whitetails are dropped in Dec and early Jan and they get burried in the northern faces with well over 100 inches of snow until spring run off in April and May. This rule basically takes all of my northern face shed hunting away from me for whitetails. I wish you would reconsider for us westerners. I really don't think 1 more month would bore to many guys on here. I can not even access into many of my best spring bear hunting spots and shedding areas until mid to late May.

LMAO, it hasn't stopped snowing since you went away last weekend, man we don't get snow here, maybe a foot and that's it for the season, the dang cold makes a guy want to move too, been below -25 for the last 2 weeks, I'm not even bothering going back out till the end of March, unless we get a warm front come in and we get a melt down. I've never seen the deer drop there head gear till mid March till mid April. They've been off for a few weeks here and some guys are still saying some have them .
