I have stumbled upon a few things over the years:
-A dead Horse

I recently traded some extra Muzzy MX-3's I had for some QAD Exodus 100 grn full blade. The QAD's seem to fly really well.
A couple months. My backup bow is from 2007.
Until I found the shop where I bought my Assassin, I always had bad experiences at bow shops and stopped going into them. All my local ones had attitudes that just be being there was bothering them...
Good stuff guys. Good episode to show how deer react at the shot because the first two deer weren't the greatest hits (high on the buck, low on the doe) but that is a result of the deer reacting to...
You got me there :). I also use my other jig for aluminum or wood shafts.
In my defense, I did and do only recommend it for the Blazers so I am not leading people astray. I use a Jo-Jan for all other styles as I said in my first post on this topic.
I can understand that for sure and I didn't mean to get you fired up haha. I love talking tools. I like having the EZ-Mini for Blazer's since it does such a good job and then use my other fletching...
I am not a Bitz hater, it's a great jig. I am just saying if you use Blazers and helical fletch, the Arizona Mini puts more helical on. This is the helical. Like I said even to 50 yards I get...
Yet another vote for Onsteringer. Not only great wraps but excellent service. I am a long time wrap customer but recently emailed them and asked about (1) 1.25" wrap for my homemade STS and they...
I have a Jo-Jan I use for feathers or longer vanes. For Blazers with helical it's hard to beat the Arizona EZ-Mini. It puts more helical on Blazers than any jig, including the Bitz. And I found...
I suggest you shoot as many as you can. But I will suggest the Bowtech Assassin as one to try. I have one and it's a great shooter. The Bear Method, Mission, and PSE Drive are other bows in your...
I will be out with the bow in Pa. I use my bow for everything, I do not gun hunt at all anymore. I have no issues with guns I just enjoy hunting with a bow so much more.
Yep that's a good one. I just re-watched that and re-read "Come November" before this last Pa season.
I have a few broadheads, but usually not more than 2-3 of a certain brand or model. However I do have 8 Muzzy's (3 standard 100grn 3 blades and 5 MX-3's) and 10 Magnus 2 blade heads (5 125...
For me it's the opposite. I shot trad a long time before my second back surgery and needing to shoot a bow with let-off again. But I tried fingers and instinctive with an older 65% let-off compound...
The one in Greensburg Pa has that one new in box for $45. I seldom use hang-on's so I didn't buy it though. I already have one for here on my home shooting range so I didn't need it.
The word is Bowtech decided to not chase speed on this bow but make it a smoother, quieter bow for a better hunting weapon. A lot of people expected more I think after all the hype always associated...
I bought an Assassin in OCtober and used the R.A.K. package stuff for the whole season. I shot a doe and it worked fine. It is not top quality stuff though. I have since upgraded the rest to a QAD...
I hunted with the Bloodlines (400's) last season and really like them. Pretty tough for a smaller arrow. My only complaint is the 'H' size nock can be hard to find locally.
Split. I tried three under and also string walking at the advice of a friend and I shot terrible. went back to split and have been happy since.
I am one of the few that despise one pin sliders. I do not like moving my sight before I shoot at all. I much prefer a multi-pin fixed sight. But that's one reason archery is so great, plenty of...
I might have to, thanks.
Anybody else hear Ted Nugent is going to be shooting/promoting the new Muzzy heads in 2013? Might be another reason to change heads for me right there haha.
Those are nice, still a little big for my needs though. I have a gigantic pair of 16x50 I only use when scouting. Way too big to carry hunting. I like to keep my stuff compact so I use a pair of 8x25...
