I had a finger accident a few years back and I do not have the use of my ring finger on my right hand. My index finger also has limited movement and pointer finger is my only good finger. I have been shooting my Kodiak Magnum(45#) for about a month now and I am having moderate success with it. At 20 yards I can keep a group of about 6 inches. I am right eye dominate and I don't want to switch to a left handed bow, is two fingers good enough to still shoot accurately or do I need to switch to a left handed bow? Thank you in advance for any advice!
I don't know much on the topic but I would say shoot however you are most comfortable. If you feel good shooting with two fingers, then by all means don't change what works for you.
I wouldn't be opposed to switching, I just do not have access to a left handed bow currently. I don't think it's effecting my shooting all that much, I was just wondering if it would be significantly improved with a three finger grip as opposed to two finger.
I have a buddy that switched from 3 under to 2 under just cuz..... Shoot however ya want, just keep doing it!
If anything having one less finger touching the string on release in theory should give you a cleaner release. With practice I would think it could improve accuracy!
