While we're waiting for folks to check in, how about an update on your upcoming hunting season: when does it open, public or private land, prospects, etc. My season opens 9/7... excited like a kid awaiting Christmas. I'll be primarily hunting the same public land I've hunted the past few years...hopefully I've got it figured out. My last scouting trip to one of the parcels showed ample sign where I expected, and 4 deer within 200yds of where I intend to sit. -Bill

I'm active duty military and I might be away for training a few weeks during mid to late October. So if you don't hear from me during that time don't think I abandoned you.

Dogfish checking in.... This season should be promising. I have a couple big 10's ( 120-135" )and some nice 8's (110-120") and monster 13+ point buck... he's in the 160's spotted him a few days ago in the beans in the evening. Opening day for me is 9/6 not sure if im going to call in sick that friday yet.... and of course plenty of skin heads to wack.
